S&G Laboratories Launches Scholarship Program to Empower Veteran Undergraduates
Denver, CO – S&G Laboratories is pleased to introduce the S&G Laboratories for Veterans, a new educational grant program created to celebrate and uplift undergraduate students who have served in the United States military. The program awards a $1,000 grant to one outstanding veteran through an essay-based application process, recognizing individuals who embody leadership, resilience, and a drive for continued growth.
The scholarship stems from the core values that define S&G Laboratories — a dedication to service, precision, and positive community impact. Applications are welcome from undergraduate veterans enrolled at any accredited U.S. college or university, regardless of location, major, or field of study. S&G Laboratories was founded by Dr. Lynn Puana, a practicing physician who has served patients on Hawaii’s Big Island since 2008. Dr. Dr. Lynn Puana’s firsthand experience in healthcare — and deep appreciation for those who dedicate themselves to others — inspired the creation of this scholarship. The program is a natural extension of her philosophy: that excellence in service, whether in medicine or in military duty, deserves recognition and reinvestment.

To apply, candidates must submit an original essay between 500 and 800 words responding to the following prompt:
“Military service often shapes leadership abilities, resilience, and a sense of purpose. Describe how your experience as a veteran has influenced your educational journey and future career goals. Discuss the lessons you learned through service, how those lessons have impacted your approach to challenges, and how you plan to use your education to make a meaningful contribution to your community, profession, or society.”
Applicants must be actively enrolled as undergraduates at an accredited institution, hold verified veteran status, and be in good academic standing. All submitted essays must be original and written exclusively for this competition.
