The New Website and App Aims to Increase Support for Minority-Owned Businesses!

Oakland, California – Jul 2, 2021 – Today, Tell-Shop announced the launch of its website and smartphone app designed to help shoppers search for minority-owned businesses across the nation. Designed to encourage diverse shopping and boost support for various organizations, users can utilize TellShop’s minority-owned business map to discover new places to purchase their favorite items while serving underrepresented communities, including LGBTQ-, Black- and Native-American-owned businesses.

Of TellShop’s recent launch, CEO and founder Frank Smith commented, “What I want to do with Tell-Shop is give minority-owned businesses a platform to be nationally spotlighted, to help them grow. We want to help them realize the successes they are capable of if they had access to the resources they are systematically denied.”

To have their stores featured on the platform, Tell-Shop users can pick from two different pricing packages — both of which are designed to be as affordable as possible, even for small businesses.

  • Starter Package: For $2 every 30 days, users can list one business onTellShop’s minority-owned business map, which includes ten photos, five tags and more.
  • Multi-Store Package: For $5 every 30 days, users can list ten businesses on TellShop’s minority-owned business map, which includes 50 photos per listing, 15 tags and more.

Early users of the platform are already enjoying Tell-Shop’s features, with Ondrea Spearman of Train With Ondrea finding success thanks to the resource.

“I am super excited for the future of Tell-Shop!” said Spearman. “I love the idea and the functionality of the site, and as a business owner, it may be the cheapest monthly marketing platform out there.”
