3 Princesses tell the story of an African American father of 3 internationally adopted daughters as he tells his girls their adoptions stories as a sweet fairy-tale filled with knights and dragons

August 13th, 2019 – Salisbury, Maryland – A new self-published children’s story tackles some very timely issues of diversity in a tale that includes a multi-cultural family where an African American father plays a pivotal role in raising 3 adopted daughters who all share different international backgrounds. The book is newly available for sale at http://www.lulu.com/shop/alexandria-harris/3-princesses/hardcover/product-24206449.html

The author, Alexandra Harris, believed the time was right for such a story and she is confident that the it can serve as a source of inspiration and learning for children and parents, no matter their cultural or racial backgrounds.

“Raising children is an incredibly challenging job no matter what, but certain situations can make the job  much more difficult, for the parents AND the children. With my story, 3 Princesses, my goal is to help those who are in blended families, who have adopted or are seeking to adopt internationally, and those in interracial relationships to deal with the trials and tribulations that often accompany such scenarios. The book can be helpful to adults in helping them communicate with their children, as well as offer comfort and solace to the kids who read the story themselves.

Alexandra hopes here book can help kickstart a theme of more diverse storytelling that will help to breed both tolerance and understanding in these ever changing times that include more and more non-traditional family situations.
